Common Vaginal Infections

Vaginitis is one of the most common infections affecting women’s health. Vaginitis is characterized as infectious or non- infectious inflammation of the vaginal mucosa, sometimes with inflammation of the vulva. Symptoms of vaginitis include vaginal discharge, irritation, pruritus, and erythema. This series will explore diagnostic and treatment approaches to the patient presenting with vaginitis; the likely causes of vulvovaginitis; and, the experiences and impact of recurrent bacterial vaginosis on women.
