Stephen M. Cohen MD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY, teaching Reproductive Endocrinology and Minimally Invasive Surgery to Residents and practicing at CNY Fertility Center based in Syracuse/ Rochester/Albany, NY.
Dr. Cohen performed his Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Following completion of his Residency, he held positions at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA and Columbia University Hospital of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City.
Dr. Cohen has lectured extensively nationally and internationally in the areas of infertility, infertility surgery, minimally invasive surgery, contraception, endometriosis, fibroids and adhesions. He has edited numerous articles, textbooks, and videos. He was the course Director for the ACOG’s longest running Postgraduate Course (Microsurgery, Lasers, and Laparoscopy). He is a member of ACOG, the American Fertility Society, and the Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists among other societies. He has served on numerous committees at these societies.
In his free time Dr. Cohen enjoys hiking and volunteering as a member of the National Ski Patrol.
